How the past three weeks have gone...

Hello! So I've been pretty busy these past couple weeks! I wanted to share a little bit about how the debutante process went. So or those of you who don't know what a debutante is I will explain a little bit. A debutante is a girl in her last year of high school that is being presented as a "lady" for the first time. So I got presented two-ish weeks ago:) It was awesome and my escort/date was my boyfriend/best friend Nathan. It was awesome and all my friends came and I will upload some pictures here later today after I pick up the disk of pictures from the photographer.
Anyways the day after that I went to SC Teaching Fellows orientation (woot woot) and then my mom drove me 5 and 1/2 hours to meet up with my church group for our mission trip (which is to kentucky). As you can see, I've been busy and last week I finally got to see Magic Mike and hangout with one of my best friends, Sara.
Back on topic, my mission trip was really great. I got to see one of my favorite kids who lives in Middlesborough, Ky. Her name is Honesty and she just turned six. She is precious and I love her so much. I miss my kids up there! Well, I have to go buy some more dorm stuff, so I have to go. I'll up date more later. Peace!

Mission trip!

Hey everybody! So this week I am in eastern Kentucky with my church. We hold vacation bible schools and basketball camps every day this week. It's exhausting but so rewarding:) I am teaching youth girls this week which is awesome. I hope to post some pictures this week. I gotta go to basketball camp. See ya!

Other things I have done this summer so far...

So some other things I have done this summer are get my cartilage pierced, playing on a playground at midnight, wandering around Walmart, take weird pictures in Bilo.... So here are some pictures of all of that too:

Big Week!

Hey everybody! Oh my goodness this week is crazy! I am a debutante for the Lady Gainsborough Club and we premiere this week, so of course I have a lot to do! I rehearse every night this week (waltzing). Plus I have to teach vacation bible school and get all my vaccines so that I can go to college this fall. Ick, shots.
Anyways, in my last post I mentioned that I was going to post some pictures from my senior trip to St. Maarten so I am going to attempt to do that now. Peace out, I am going to upload photos real quick.

Introductions and Realizations (maybe)

First things first, I guess I should go ahead and introduce myself.  My name is Courtney and I'm 18 years old.  I am a bit of a klutz and am usually anything but graceful, which is funny because I use to be a ballet dancer.  Nowadays I am dedicated to my flute, which I have been playing for eight years, and marching band, which I love beyond belief.  Some people would call me a band geek and I would proudly agree with those people.  I love what I do; what's so bad about that?    I also love to write, hence the blog.  I do a lot of creative writing in my spare time and if you want to check it out you can find my portfolio on www.writing.com under the handle Rewritten.   Anyways, I just graduated high school and am very excited to be attending college in the fall.  I'll be writing in here a lot during the summer, but it may not be consistent as I attend a mission trip and go to the beach, etc., but I'll do my best to write about twice a week.  Enjoy! I'm going to try to post some pictures of my recent trip to Saint Martin, but I can't promise anything.  Sometimes I can be technologically impaired... Peace out!
